Back

A new revelation of sorts whilst reflecting on the art of knowing.

"Understanding is nothing without practice and form." In other news...

Apologies for the long hiatus. Reaquainted myself with the Wandering Planet side of things, and just got back from a long spot of traveling with loved ones up Australia's east coast - the Gold Coast, Sydney and Canberra.

My laptop's still taking a long vacation, so updates here might be a little intermittent.

Pitch Black

Love this quote from my now top 5 electronic dance acts, Pitch Black from New Zealand.

WE ARE PITCH BLACK OF BORG - FUSISTANCE IS RUTILE, YOUR ASS WILL BE LAMINATED!

In other news, my mac has taken a vacation, her hard drive decided to take a good long rest, and as a result, I reckon I've lost a fair bit permanently. All good though, things happen as they happen. So I apologise to everyone if I begin to prove difficult to find online over the next month or so.

Boyzvoice

Bloody funny this film. Just caught it on SBS.

http://www.boyzvoice.org/

A mockumentary on the mad spate of Norweigian Pop boy bands of the 90s, the soundtrack is hilarious. THey actually created a real fictional boy band and made it to actual charts, spoofing all the other real boy bands along the way. Must watch!!!

How corny and smart!!! And the Playmobil parady too. Wowee. I recommend watching all of them videos when you have some time for a relaxing good laugh.

And ths one's rather funny too! Listen to the lyrics for this one - a pop star lamenting that his girlfriend all of 12 years old lied about her age, making him believe she was 16 all along.

in other thoughts,

"i love you because you take away my pain."

Fried rice and everything nice

Domestication vibes are abound again. Came home after a long day at work and craved for some wholesome goodness. So there I went - Bob's tomato-flavoured fried rice.

And below, home art by Windsor on our kitchen floor.

And have I ever mentioned I love Alan Parson's project? everyone should have a listen! The penultimate two-man band.

Simple pleasures (Soup edition) + Djembe upgrade

Tiring day, full day of classes till 6.30pm and a hour-long walk through the city to a friend's place to pick up her full-sized djembe (as opposed to my travel-lite sized baby at home). Loaning it coz I'll be playing percussion at a friend's wedding later in the month.

Point is, maximally tiring day, but I craved for a good wholesome dinner. So, despite it being almost 8pm by the time I got back near home from the city, I managed to will myself to get a horde of vege to make a humble carrot/potato/onion soup.

And boy it did the trick. Nice wholesome soup at home on a cold night! Nothing else would have cut it. Happy :)

Street Sign Art

Just right outside the house. :)

In other news.

We are ruled by our minds
Our senses of touch, smell, sight are just mere and feeble gleams into our minds.
And inside our minds, everything easily change shape.
Meanings change.
There are as many truths as there are people.
So what does the mind mean anyway.
What then is life, or death, or meaning.

inspired from a pretty zen-ed anime Amatsuki.
